Cryotherapy Treatment Kings Hill, Kent

At Illuminate, we use cryotherapy to treat a wide range of skin conditions. These include the removal of warts and verrucae, seborrheic keratosis, skin tags, non-cancerous moles and other small non-cancerous skin growths or lesions. Cryotherapy uses nitrogen or argon gas to create extremely cold temperatures to remove diseased tissue. Our cryotherapy treatment uses a very cold substance (usually liquid nitrogen) to safely remove the lesion, growth or blemish without damaging the surrounding tissue. At Illuminate we use a very precise medical-grade cryotherapy pen which works efficiently, whilst minimising damage to surrounding tissues.

1

How does this treatment work?

Cryotherapy works by using extreme cold to destroy small, localised growths or lesions on the skin. The freezing, followed by the slow thawing of the growth or lesion being treated, kills the cells, usually leaving a small scab or crust that will fall off after about 10 days.

2

What happens during my treatment?

Treatment is usually given while you are lying down, but this may vary according to the location of the area being treated.

3

Will I feel any pain or side effects?

Minor discomfort may be felt during or immediately after treatment.

4

Who is this treatment suitable for?

This treatment is suitable for anyone with small skin lesions, warts or veruccae, non-cancerous moles or other small skin growths or blemishes that they would like to have removed.
