This treatment covers all types of pollen and is a quick and highly effective treatment for those with severe hay fever symptoms. It is not usually recommended for those suffering from mild or sporadic symptoms and we always recommend visiting your GP first.
There are various treatment options to consider, including Aller-Tox which is administered through a minimally invasive nasal spray, offering a targeted approach that minimises systemic exposure and reduces the risk of adverse effects.
![About the treatment](https://illuminateskinclinic.co.uk/wp-content/smush-webp/2024/05/profound_about_main.jpg.webp)
Hay fever is caused when the immune system overreacts to pollen entering the body. The treatment works to suppress the body’s immune system, which in turn reduces the symptoms of hay fever.
You should feel no pain. Side effects are rare, but may include swelling, breathing difficulties, itchy skin/skin rashes and abdominal pain.
This treatment is ideal for anyone aged 18 and over who suffers from severe hay fever and has not responded to conventional treatment e.g. over-the-counter antihistamine tablets and nasal sprays.
