Generally, weight loss injections are suitable for those who are considered clinically obese or significantly overweight with a weight related health condition.
You can use weight loss injections if you’re aged between 18 and 75:
- You have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more (clinically obese); or
- You have a body mass index of 27 or more (significantly overweight) and a medical condition often caused, or made worse, by excess body weight.
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal in nature: vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea and constipation which should subside over time as your body adjusts to the medication. Just like any medication, Semaglutide may cause other less common but more severe side effects, such as vision changes, kidney problems, pancreatitis, and gallbladder problems.
