Milia Removal
Milia Removal Treatment Kings Hill, Kent
Milia are small cysts that can appear as white spots on the face. Often mistaken for whiteheads, they are in fact tiny pockets of keratin, which have built up immediately underneath the epidermis, often appearing in groups. Whilst not dangerous, many adults choose to have them removed.
At Illuminate Skin Clinics we use ThermaVein to remove milia. This painless treatment uses a small microwave current to destroy the milia, leaving scar free skin.

The ThermaVein machine uses a process known as Thermocoagulation. The machine delivers a microwave current to the milia being treated. The current destroys the milia, sometimes leaving a small crusting, which will fall off within a week.
Treatment is given while you are lying down with your head slightly raised. Your skin will be cleaned before treatment commences and we will apply a non-occlusive foundation to the skin after treatment, to help take away any redness that may be present.
Your skin may look a little red and blotchy immediately after treatment and sometimes for an additional couple of days. Crusting may also develop on the treated area but this will fall off, usually after 1 week.
This treatment is suitable for anyone aged 18.
