Jowls
Jowls refer to the sagging or heavy skin that often appears on or below the jawline and lower cheek as you age. They are a common condition caused by loss of collagen and the skin loosing its firmness and tightness, as well as gravity pulling the skin downwards and changes in bone structure occurring naturally with age. Weight loss, smoking and genetics can be other influencing factors in the appearance of jowls.
Jowls can affect both men and women and usually appear from the age of about 40. However they can appear in some people as early as their twenties.
Treatment options for Jowls include Sofwave, Profound RF, dermal fillers and Venus Legacy, all of which either restore lost volume or naturally increase collagen production and tighten sagging or loose skin.
