Dark Circles Under Eyes
This is often a genetic condition, common in both men and women. It may also affect younger people, particularly if they have a chronic illness. Dark circles usually form due to pigmentation and/or blood vessels showing through from beneath the skin, or by shadows formed due to volume loss. They are sometimes accompanied by puffiness around the eyes.
Ageing can also play its part as the skin loses collagen with age, making dark circles more noticeable. Allergies, exposure to the sun, dehydration, stress and lack of sleep can all influence the appearance of dark circles too.
We often recommend Venus Legacy to treat this condition, which stimulates collagen production, increases circulation and repairs the dull skin that causes dark circles under the eyes.
