Lip Fillers

Lip fillers improve the volume, definition and contour of the lips. Lip filler treatments use multiple very small injections of hyaluronic acid filler, a naturally occurring molecule that is found in your body, to restore the balance and proportion of lips. This is a simple, safe and temporary procedure that can significantly improve the volume and contour of asymmetrical or thin lips. Illuminate Skin Clinic uses the safest medical grade dermal filler available on the market.

Lip fillers can help enhance the symmetry of your smile, correcting drooping mouth corners, treating barcode lines and redefining lip shape lost through ageing. It is also often used to hydrate lips that have become dried out and to define a ‘cupid’s bow’.

Lip fillers are a popular option for those who are looking to add volume and plumpness to their lips. With an almost immediate result, lip fillers can last between 9-12 months.

1

How does Lip Filler work?

The injection of hyaluronic acid filler into the relevant area of the lips re-volumises and restores lip shape, balance and proportion. The amount of hyaluronic filler used and the number of injections will depend on your treatment objective.

2

What happens during my Lip Filler treatment?

Treatment is administered while you are lying down with your head raised.  Numbing cream will be applied to your lips and the surrounding area prior to injections taking place to minimise discomfort or pain.

3

Will I feel any pain or side effects?

Lips are the most sensitive part of the face, so some discomfort is likely to be felt. Some swelling may appear in the 24 hours following treatment.

4

Who is Lip Filler suitable for?

Lip fillers are suitable for anyone over the age of 18 and are very popular with male as well as female customers.
