Gummy Smile
A Gummy Smile occurs when over active facial muscles around the nose and mouth pull the top lip upwards and expose the gums underneath. This can affect the smallest or most normal of smiles. While some people are happy to leave this condition untreated, others are not comfortable with the appearance that a Gummy Smile can create. We treat this condition using 2-3 Botox injections, which relax the muscles and cause the top lip to lower, hiding or reducing the visibility of the gums.
