About this treatment

Sunekos is an advanced injectable treatment designed to restore and regenerate the skin in a completely natural way. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, which add volume, Sunekos combines hyaluronic acid with a unique complex of amino acids to stimulate the body’s own production of collagen and elastin. The result is visibly healthier, firmer, and more radiant skin.

At Illuminate Skin Clinic, we offer Sunekos to patients in Kent and London who are looking for subtle, gradual improvement in skin tone, texture and elasticity. It is ideal for treating early signs of ageing, as well as improving the quality of the skin across multiple areas of the face and body.

How does Sunekos work?

Sunekos is a patented formula made up of hyaluronic acid and six essential amino acids. These ingredients work together to activate fibroblasts in the skin, encouraging the natural production of collagen and elastin. Sunekos has also been shown to stimulate multiple different types of collagen – not just types I and III, but also types IV and VII which are anchoring collagens .This is important because it helps to restore skin integrity, helping the skin layers to stay connected to one another. Over time, this helps to improve skin hydration, reduce crepiness and fine lines, and restore a more youthful appearance.

Because it does not add volume to the face, Sunekos is a suitable option for patients who want a natural result, without the risk of looking overfilled. It is particularly effective in delicate areas, such as under the eyes, where crepey skin is common and traditional fillers are not always recommended.

What can Sunekos treat?

Sunekos can be used to treat a wide range of areas and concerns, including:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Dehydrated or crepey skin
  • Loss of elasticity
  • Dark circles and hollowness under the eyes
  • Skin ageing on the neck, décolletage and hands

The benefits of Sunekos

  • Promotes natural skin regeneration
  • Improves elasticity, hydration and skin quality
  • Safe for use in delicate areas including the under-eye
  • No risk of overfilling
  • Clinically proven to stimulate collagen and elastin production

What to expect from treatment

Before your treatment, one of our experienced practitioners will carry out a full consultation to assess your skin and discuss your goals. The treatment itself takes around 30 minutes and involves a series of small injections across the target area. A numbing cream can be applied beforehand to minimise any discomfort.

Most patients notice an improvement in skin texture and hydration after the first session, with more visible results developing as the course progresses.

Most patients find the treatment very manageable. A topical numbing cream is used to keep discomfort to a minimum.

You may notice some mild redness, swelling or bruising at the injection sites, but this usually settles within 24 to 48 hours.

Some improvements may be visible after your first session, but results will continue to build throughout the treatment course as collagen and elastin levels increase.

Sunekos is suitable for most skin types and is particularly beneficial for those in their late 20s and upwards who are beginning to notice changes in their skin’s texture, tone or firmness.
