Latic acid is a AHA, this sits on the surface of the skin. Latic acid is water soluble, promotes hydration and assissts treatment to even skintone. It a predictable acid to use, and the safest.
Glycolic is a AHA, this sits on the surface of the skin. Glycolic is water soluble and known to support desquamation. Made from sugar cane.
Salicylic acid a BHA, oil soluble, eliminates bacteria and promotes exfoliation. Salicylic works deeper into the follicles.
The lower the PH of the acid the more exfoliating it will be and more sterilising.
