What is in your blood that makes it so powerful? 🩸

Blood isn’t just essential for keeping us alive – it also contains incredible healing properties that are revolutionising medical aesthetics. When we draw a small sample of your blood and spin it in a centrifuge, it separates into its key components: red blood cells, platelet-poor plasma, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

Platelet-rich plasma is where the magic happens. Packed with growth factors, PRP can stimulate tissue regeneration, encourage collagen production, and enhance your skin’s natural repair process. It’s a natural solution that works with your body to rejuvenate and revitalise your skin.

Platelet-poor plasma and red blood cells also have their roles, but PRP is the star of many advanced aesthetic treatments, offering impressive, science-backed results for healthier, more radiant skin.

So, how does it work? 💭

👉🏼 A small amount of blood will be taken from your arm. This is then ‘spun’ in a centrifuge and the platelet-rich plasma is separated from the rest of the blood’s components.

👉🏼 It is then injected into the area of skin to be treated and may also be gently delivered into the skin using a microneedling pen. The platelets work by initiating repair and attracting stem cells, stimulating and accelerating natural healing and rejuvenation.

One of the most underrated areas to treat? The cheeks – and the results can be absolutely transformative.

By restoring volume here, we’re not just enhancing the natural contours of your face – we’re also addressing those stubborn nasolabial folds (the lines that run from your nose to mouth) and hollow under-eyes that can make you look tired or aged.

The cheeks play a crucial role in supporting the mid-face, and when they lose volume – whether due to ageing, weight loss, or genetics – it can cause other areas to sag or appear hollow. By adding subtle volume to the cheeks, we’re essentially giving your whole face a natural lift and restoring balance.

So, if you’ve ever felt like your face has lost its youthful “bounce” or noticed deepening lines that creams just can’t fix, this might be the solution you’ve been searching for.

If you’d like to learn more about the options, let’s chat them through together. Tap the link in our bio to enquire or to book a consultation where we can discuss the options together 💌
We all know that one friend who seems to have been blessed by nature with effortlessly clear, glowing skin—the kind that looks flawless without a hint of effort. While it might appear as though they’re coasting through life with a skincare routine as simple as water and soap, the truth is that even the most resilient and naturally radiant skin requires care to stay healthy over time.

No matter how low-maintenance your skin may seem, there are a few essential habits you should adopt to preserve its vitality and ensure it stays in top condition for years to come. Taking a proactive approach to skincare not only helps maintain its current health but also combats the effects of ageing, environmental stressors, and daily wear and tear. Here are some tried-and-tested tips to ensure your skin remains effortlessly radiant and healthy:

1. Always thoroughly cleanse

Even if your skin appears clear and trouble-free, skipping proper cleansing can lead to a build-up of dirt, oil, and environmental pollutants. Make cleansing a non-negotiable step in your daily routine, especially in the evenings. Opt for a gentle cleanser that suits your skin type—whether it’s hydrating for dry skin or a foaming option for oil-prone complexions.

2. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate

Hydration is the cornerstone of healthy skin. Even if your skin leans oily, a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturiser or hyaluronic acid serum can work wonders for keeping it balanced and smooth.

3. Never Skip Sunscreen

UV rays are one of the leading causes of premature ageing, pigmentation, and even skin cancer. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and reapply throughout the day, especially if you’re spending time outdoors. Remember, prevention is far easier than trying to reverse sun damage later.

And if you want to get started on the path to healthier skin in 2025, start with a skin health assessment with our expert team - we will help to get you on the path to results. DM the word “SKIN” to learn more or to book 💌
Don't underestimate the importance of the chin ⬆️ the lower face has a huge impact on the appearance of the face and this altered photo is a great example of the difference it can make.

Often an undervalued area of the face, when in harmony with the rest of the features, the chin allows for:

👉🏽 A beautiful, well-balanced profile
👉🏽 An elongated neckline
👉🏽 A more youthful appearance
👉🏽 A supported, balanced face
👉🏽 Proportioned lips and nose
👉🏽 Light to hit all the right areas

When looking at a face for the first time, we are careful to consider the face as a whole, determining how every small refinement will impact everything else.

Want brighter, more refreshed eyes? Let’s talk about a simple but effective way to lift the brows and refresh the eye area...

By carefully placing anti-wrinkle injections just below the brow, we can gently relax the muscles that pull the brows down. This allows the brow to lift naturally, opening up the eyes and creating a brighter, more youthful look.

It’s a subtle tweak that makes a big difference—perfect if you’re feeling like your eyes are starting to look a bit tired or heavy.

The treatment is quick, virtually painless, and takes just minutes to do. Plus, there’s no downtime, so you can get straight back to your day. Results develop gradually over 7–14 days and last around 3–4 months.

Whether you’re looking for a subtle lift or want to soften fine lines around the eyes, this is a fantastic option for gently refreshing your appearance without looking overdone.

If you’re curious about how these treatments could help you, send us a message if you’d like to come and see us for a chat, or if you have any questions 💌
Thinking about trying dermarolling at home? 🚫 Here’s why it might not be the best idea…

While at-home dermarollers might seem like a quick and affordable way to improve your skin, they can actually do more harm than good. As skin health professionals, we recommend professional microneedling instead—and here’s why.

Professional microneedling treatments are designed to create precise, controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen production and improving texture safely and effectively. The devices used in clinics are medical-grade, with adjustable depths to target specific concerns without damaging the skin.

Dermarollers, on the other hand, are far less precise. Instead of creating clean, vertical channels, they roll across the skin, tearing and dragging, which can lead to irritation, inflammation, and even scarring. Plus, there’s a higher risk of introducing bacteria, especially if the tool isn’t sterilised properly.

When it comes to skin health, cutting corners just isn’t worth it. Professional microneedling delivers better results, with less risk and more control—giving your skin the care and attention it deserves. ✨
