Join us on Wednesday 18th November at 10.30am where we will help to open up the conversation about female hair loss and the available treatment options.
Across the globe, hundreds of thousands of women are faced with hair loss every single year, yet despite this, female pattern hair loss is a topic which still isn’t talked about enough. Confronting hair loss can be a very emotional experience, and it can have a significant impact on our self-esteem. Our hair is often one of the first things we notice about a person; it frames our face and gives us confidence. So, when we lose it, it can have lasting effects.
Many people don’t realise that more women than men will experience hair loss at some point throughout their life. While it may not be quite as severe as men, 40% of women will experience hair loss by the age of 40 and 80% by the time they reach 60 years of age. It goes without saying that a conversation about the reality of suffering from female hair loss is well overdue.
Several possible factors may result in hair loss for women, including hormones, genetics, stress, vitamin deficiency and underlying medical conditions. Hair loss is nothing to hide or feel ashamed about, especially when it can give us clues about what is happening with our health and well-being. Some women may not even be aware of their hormonal or thyroid issues until they start exploring the reasons behind their hair loss with a specialist.
In many cases, women may not be suitable for surgery due to the way the hair tends to thin over the entire scalp. So, what else is out there if surgery isn’t an option? During our next virtual coffee morning, Dr Sophie Shotter will explore the various causes of female hair loss, looking at the role that factors such as hormones, genetics and diet can play. She will also share her knowledge and expertise to help you understand the treatment options available, which can help to stimulate hair growth and nourish weak or thinning hair.
For the first time, we’ll also be featuring a live treatment demonstration during the session – showcasing the revolutionary HydraFacial Keravive scalp treatment. HydraFacial Keravive is a unique treatment which is designed to cleanse, stimulate, nourish and hydrate the scalp for fuller and healthier-looking hair. It works to unclog hair follicles and remove congestion before infusing the area with a blend of proteins and growth factors which are 30 times stronger than PRP. Dr Sophie will demonstrate the treatment live whilst walking you through the process.
Whether you are already battling with hair loss or would simply like to learn more about how you can manage the changes before they take effect, this unique presentation will help guide you through the maze so you can make more informed choices. It will encourage you to explore the options and think about what’s right for you so you can restore your confidence once and for all.
There will be plenty of time for a Q&A at the end of the presentation, where Dr Sophie Shotter will answer your live questions. We’d love to catch up with you, so please put the date in your diary and join us for a sparkling discussion and an excellent opportunity for us to come together, speak out and remind women that they aren’t facing this issue alone.
