Join the Conversation: Gut Health Guidelines to Live By
Join us on Thursday 22nd October at 10.30am for our next virtual coffee morning where we’ll be cutting through the headlines to tell you what’s fact and what’s fiction when it comes to maintaining a healthy gut.
Otherwise known as our ‘second brain’, our gut health has a significant impact on our body as a whole, from skin health to sex drive to energy levels and our mental health. The gut is central to virtually every bodily function, it’s not only where we digest food and absorb nutrients, but it’s also home to around 70% of the immune system. The health of our gut can be affected by a variety of factors – with stress, tiredness, medication and nutrition all playing a part.
If your gut health is off-kilter, you may be experiencing conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), constipation, bloating, brain fog, fatigue, acne, low immunity, inflammation and even mental health issues.
With more and more people suffering from gut-related problems, solutions have become more readily available. Still, there’s such a diverse range of options and advice out there that it can often be challenging to know where to start. Which foods should we focus on in our diets? What supplements should we take and how do we know they’re actually working? And what is a probiotic anyway?
During the one-hour online event, Dr Sophie Shotter will be joined by influential GP, author and nutrition specialist, Dr Johanna Ward to discuss the importance of maintaining a healthy gut and the impact it can have on our overall wellness. They will focus on the mechanics of the gut, as well as nutrition, supplements, sleep, stress and exercise to boost whole-body health and immune resilience.
Whether you’re currently experiencing the issues associated with poor gut health or would simply like to start feeling healthier all-round, this presentation will help you to understand the signs of poor digestion and how to give your gut the good bacteria that it desperately craves to stay balanced. At the end of the session, you will feel more confident about how you can take a holistic approach to improve your gut health.
There will be plenty of time for a Q&A at the end of the presentation, where Dr Sophie Shotter and Dr Johanna Ward will answer your live questions. We will also issue a special code to all attendees for 20% off Zenii Nutrition products on our online shop during the event. We’d love to catch up with you, so please put the date in your diary and join us for education, excitement and an excellent opportunity for us all to discuss how we can move forwards together for a healthier and fulfilled life.
