A Few Minutes with Emma Nye, Front of House Supervisor at Illuminate
When you call Illuminate Skin & Wellness Clinics, it will more than likely be Emma’s voice that warmly greets you.
Always friendly, forever enthusiastic, Emma – who joined our team in 2018 – is passionate about the skin care industry and delights in her role at the front of our clinic.
In this article – the first in a series of short interviews taking you behind the scenes at Illuminate – Emma shares insight into life at Illuminate and what excites her most about her work.
To kick things off, we wanted to know what gives Emma the greatest satisfaction in her role at our award-winning clinic.
“I would say it is definitely the way that a treatment at Illuminate can have an extremely positive effect on a patient’s outlook,” she revealed.
“People sometimes walk into Illuminate a little nervous, but I can honestly say I’ve only ever seen them leaving us afterwards with a big smile and full of confidence.”
As our Front of House Supervisor, Emma is responsible for taking bookings, making follow-up appointments, offering general treatment and product advice, promotions and stock control.
Importantly, she is a qualified aesthetic practitioner with a broad knowledge of treatments having graduated from the London College of Beauty and spent five years at a leading clinic in the capital.
This background gives Emma an in-depth understanding of the treatment journey and has shaped her commitment to delivering an outstanding start-to-finish patient experience at Illuminate.
“Making patients feel welcome and comfortable, especially when they are feeling a little nervous about a treatment, is extremely important to Illuminate and to me,” she explained.
This customer-first culture – which has brought Illuminate numerous industry awards – is underpinned by an outstanding team.
Emma said: “It is so enjoyable and rewarding being part of the team at Illuminate. I know everyone probably says that, but we are genuinely there to help, guide and support each other and it is amazing.”
So apart from helping people enjoy the best possible treatment experience, what else makes Emma happy?
“I love travelling, especially visiting new places. I’ve travelled all over and also worked in many different countries including Australia, Romania and Spain.
Emma is also a dog lover and when she’s away from work she enjoys nothing more than taking her Shih Tzu, Herbie, out for a stroll.
