This week saw my inaugural open evening at my new Kings Hill clinic – a VIP launch for my new toy, a CoolSculpting machine. I think I love this toy more than I loved my first Barbie doll. The satisfaction from helping people sculpt their ideal body shape is just wonderful.
For those of you who haven’t heard of CoolSculpting it is an amazing step forward in permanent, non-surgical body sculpting. It works by freezing fat cells, triggering their death. This process decreases the fat deposit in a given area by around 33%. It’s perfect for those who lead healthy lifestyles but have stubborn pockets of fat that they can’t get rid of. Whilst you may find other machines claiming to do what CoolSculpting can do, this is truly the Ferrari of the cryolipolysis world. The only device that has FDA approval, with over 30 published research studies and over 1 million treatments performed worldwide.
Plenty of prosecco and nibbles were consumed before Tim Stevens from Zeltiq (who make CoolSculpting) gave a talk, and I gave demonstration of the CoolSculpting procedure on our wonderful model Tina, who sported the very fetching CoolSculpting shorts for the occasion. There was much fascination and lots of questions. It’s quite something to see the fat being sucked into the applicator, and seeing it come off afterwards. When the fat has been frozen we describe it as a ‘butterstick’ – have a look at the picture. It’s quite something to feel and see it, and believe me it’s freezing cold!!
We will be having more open evenings in the future, and you can always book in for a free consultation with me to discuss CoolSculpting.
